Behind the hitting of Roger Villalobos, the Frederick Keys defeated the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 7-6. Villalobos went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Keys. Jeff O'Brian earned the save, his 4th in 5 tries. The Keys bumped their record to 53-47 with this latest triumph.

Mike Sandoval had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for Frederick. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Keys leading 6-1, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
