Steve Strouse propelled his team to victory over the Lynchburg Hillcats. The final score was 7-6, Potomac. Potomac reliever Sean Wilson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chad Cochrane was saddled with the loss. Lynchburg's current losing streak is now 5 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Ludwick in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Cochrane to win the game for Potomac. The home crowd went nuts.

"Now that's what I call an exciting game," said Nationals manager Cesar Martin.
