Winston-Salem Dash starter António Flores pitched a strong game against the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, leading the Dash to victory, 6-1. Ken Owens earned the save, his 2nd in 2 tries. The Dash have an impressive 58-30 record.

Steve Winters had a big 3-run home run for the Dash in the top of the seventh inning. With Winston-Salem leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a forkball from Lou McKee and swatted a home run to center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dash ahead, 6-0.

"António gave us a heck of an effort," said Winston-Salem manager Brent Metheny.
