Myrtle Beach catcher Stan Tracy had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Lynchburg at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Tracy went 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Chad Cochrane recorded the save, making him 19 for 24. The Hillcats improved their record to 40-48 with the win over Myrtle Beach.
It could have been a different outcome for Lynchburg, had it not been for Rhett Osborn, the 24-year old center fielder . Osborn contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Lynchburg up, 7-6.
"We got the victory," said Osborn. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
