The Myrtle Beach Pelicans picked up a win at New Winston-Salem Ballpark, downing the Winston-Salem Dash, 5-1. On the mound for Myrtle Beach was right-hander Dax Foster, who played a pivotal role in the win. The loss makes Winston-Salem 47-38.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Kieran Willis? The Myrtle Beach shortstop had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Pelicans on top, 2-0. For the game, Willis had 1 double and 3 singles in 4 at-bats.
