Nationals Deal Wilmington 10-5 Defeat
The Potomac Nationals powered past the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 10-5, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. Steve McGuffie went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, to lead the charge. The Nationals improved their record to 35-50 with the win over Wilmington.

Jeff Jones had a big 2-run double for the Nationals in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Potomac leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Todd and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nationals ahead, 4-1.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Jones.
