The Potomac Nationals and starting pitcher Víctor Lara stifled the Wilmington offense en route to a comfortable 10-2 win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The Nationals saw their win-loss record go to 38-45. At the same time, the Blue Rocks fell to 42-41.

Second Baseman Willie Grimes made an impact for Potomac, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Steve Bell in the top of the third. For the contest, Grimes was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Lara said after the game.
