Frederick and Lynchburg duked it out and the Keys came out victorious.

Frederick parlayed a decent outing from starter Tony Morín into a solid win over the Lynchburg Hillcats. The final score was 5-2. Ken Key, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities.

Frederick used the timely hitting of Tony Castro to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Keys on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Frederick manager Whit Merrifield commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."

The Keys improved their record to 37-45 with the win over Lynchburg.
