Jarred Pierson knocked in 3 runs to help Winston-Salem beat Lynchburg, 6-2. Pierson produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Winston-Salem reliever Ánibal Loronha picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. José Nájera was saddled with the loss. The win for the Dash raised their record to 42-35.

Winston-Salem took a 5-0 lead on Pierson's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Raúl Villalobos in the top of the eighth, propelled Winston-Salem to the win.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Pierson.
