Hillcats Drop Nationals, 4-2

Lynchburg picked up a win at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, bumping off the Potomac Nationals, 4-2. Pitcher Doug Bratcher was a major reason the Hillcats emerged victorious. Bert Riggs notched his 3rd save in 6 chances. The loss makes Potomac 35-41.
Lynchburg used the clutch hitting of Luis Carlos to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Hillcats the lead, 3-2. For the game, Carlos had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Doug's a gamer," said Lynchburg manager Nick Markakis. "Glad he's on our side."
