Al Adams never let Salem get something going. The Potomac left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Nationals to a 3-0 win. In 7 innings, Adams surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Michal Bauerewski converted his 7th save in 7 tries.

Potomac used a clutch hit from Jeff Robert to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Robert told the Potomac News. "Whatever it takes."

The third-place Nationals sport a record of 31-34.
