Starting pitcher Doug Beck had a solid game. He was a big reason the Winston-Salem Dash throttled the Carolina Mudcats, 7-2. With the victory, the Dash upped their record to 37-17.

Winston-Salem used a clutch at-bat from Waylon McFergus to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dash ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," McFergus said.
