The Myrtle Beach Pelicans downed the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 1-0, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Starring for Myrtle Beach was pitcher Jerry Jennings. Jennings got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Rinaldo Saro earned the save, his 9th, for the Pelicans.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Kieran Willis to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pelicans on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Jennings attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
