The Lynchburg Hillcats, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Ed Smith Stadium.

Behind the hitting of Ben Lake, the Lynchburg Hillcats stopped the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 7-6. Lake went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for the Hillcats. Reliever Chad Cochrane picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Rinaldo Saro took the loss.

The Hillcats got a clutch hit from left fielder Luis Carlos. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Hillcats.

"That was a lot of fun, watching both teams compete," said Hillcats manager Nick Markakis.

The setback makes Myrtle Beach 16-25.
