The Myrtle Beach Pelicans beat the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 11-6, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The Pelicans got a fine performance from third baseman Clarence Bray, who was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Augusto Balderas stitched up the save, his 14th. The win hiked the Myrtle Beach record to 20-18.

Myrtle Beach used a timely hit from Kieran Willis to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pelicans ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Bray told the Myrtle Beach Daily.
