					| Mudcats Win in Glorious Fashion, 7-6 |
					| Wilmington got a terrific game from center fielder Greg Lópes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Carolina, 7-6. Lópes went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Dan Blair in relief, making him now 1-2. Pete Mousset took the loss for Wilmington. Wilmington's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Beau Carson was the walk-off hero for Carolina. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mudcats center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Carolina skipper John Cornely.
