Red Sox Get Clutch Win Versus Carolina
The Salem Red Sox racked up a win at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium, bumping off the Carolina Mudcats, 4-3. Tex Davis, who started for Salem, pitched effectively for his team. Salem now sits at 13-21, while Carolina falls to 20-14.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Glasper in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher José Jiménez to win the game for Salem. The home crowd went nuts.

"Tex pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Salem manager Jose Nieves.
