Myrtle Beach 3-1 Losers to Mudcats
Dave Norwood never let the Pelicans get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Mudcats to a win, 3-1. Rudy Thomas closed the game out for Carolina, earning his 5th save. The Pelicans fall to 12-16 and continue their sputtering start to the 2025 season.

Carolina took a 3-1 lead on Greg Reyes's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Reyes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Myrtle Beach pitcher Virgil Peterson visibly frustrated.

Reyes said his team "played with determination."
