The Winston-Salem Dash downed the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 1-0, at New Winston-Salem Ballpark. Winston-Salem pitcher Rory Briggs had a scintillating performance. Dave Cobb picked up the save, his 8th. Winston-Salem goes to 16-11.

The Dash got a big at-bat from second baseman Te Le. For the game, Le went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Winston-Salem a 1-0 lead.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Jose Lobaton.
