Pelicans Lose By a Run at Frederick
Frederick turned a good effort from starter Conan Myers into a win over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at Harry Grove Stadium. The final score was 2-1. The Keys, now 15-6, have been on fire in the early going.

Had Elwiin Gelderblom not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Gelderblom hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Keys.

"The positive vibes are all around the clubhouse," said Keys manager Whit Merrifield. "Once you see a player having a good at-bat, that's really contagious."
