Nationals Slap 6-4 Loss on Frederick
|
Led by Ken Barnes, the Potomac Nationals defeated the Frederick Keys, 6-4. Barnes went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Nationals. Edgardo Souza finished the game for Potomac and earned his 1st save. The Keys, 6-6, continue their so-so start to the 2025 season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mike Ludwick? The Potomac catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nationals on top, 3-1. For the game, Ludwick had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Not the sexiest win," said Nationals manager Cesar Martin, "but I'll take it."
