The Myrtle Beach Pelicans locked up a win at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, knocking off the Winston-Salem Dash, 6-5. On the mound for Myrtle Beach was right-hander Víctor Trujillo. He played a major role in the triumph. Winston-Salem falls to 0-3.

Myrtle Beach took a 6-3 lead on Bob Lambert's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Lambert hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Winston-Salem pitcher António Flores visibly frustrated.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Winston-Salem manager Brent Metheny.
