JetHawks 5-3 Winners Versus High Desert
|
Jon Terry, who is tied for 7th in the CAL with a 3.50 ERA, had a strong outing for the Lancaster JetHawks against the High Desert Mavericks at The Hanger. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. The first-place JetHawks, at 83-42, now lead their division by 18 games.
The JetHawks got a big at-bat from left fielder Jim Collier. For the game, Collier was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Lancaster a 3-0 lead.
"I'm happy we won," said Terry. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
