Bakersfield right fielder Luis Carranza had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the High Desert Mavericks, 12-4. Ken Day earned the win. Joel Howell took the loss for High Desert. Bakersfield is now 64-56.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Carranza hit a run-scoring single off Joel Howell. It propelled the Blaze into the lead, 3-2.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Carranza.
