Reynolds, Rawhide Too Much for Blaze
|
Visalia first baseman Joe Reynolds had a 7-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Bakersfield Blaze, 10-7. The winner in relief was Ed Norton. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 3-1. Dave Hensley earned the save, his 22nd.
In the top of the sixth, the Rawhide grabbed the lead when Reynolds hit his 6th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple off Brad Bane made it 8-5, Visalia.
"It was our day today," Reynolds told the Visalia News. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
With the win, Visalia has a record of 52-63. Bakersfield falls to 62-53.
