3-2 Loss Extends Lake Elsinore Skid
The Inland Empire 66ers did just enough to sneak past the Lake Elsinore Storm, 3-2, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Inland Empire pitcher Oscar Oglethorpe, in particular, had a standout performance. Inland Empire reliever Oscar Oglethorpe got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Zach Green was tagged with the loss. Lake Elsinore, at 39-76, has lost 12 straight.

Inland Empire used the timely hitting of Dave Richardson to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the 66ers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're in a funk right now," said Lake Elsinore skipper Chris Greene.
