On Road, Inland Empire Drops High Desert, 5-0
|
José Quintero imposed his will on the Mavericks from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-0 Inland Empire triumph. With the victory, the 66ers upped their record to 53-51.
Freddie Elliott hit a 2-run triple off Enrico Flores in the top of the third, which put the 66ers in front, 2-0. Elliott had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
Elliott attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
