The Inland Empire 66ers beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 5-4, at San Manuel Stadium. Dave Oliver, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win puts Inland Empire at 51-50 this season.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Inland Empire trailing 4-3, Oliver jumped on a cutter from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Max O'Carolan and hit a 2-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the 66ers had a walk-off win.

"This place was rockin'," Oliver said.
