66ers Pull Out Late-Game Win, 8-7
The Inland Empire 66ers weathered a fine game by Lake Elsinore shortstop Kevin Harper to upend the Storm, 8-7, at San Manuel Stadium. Harper was 4 for 4 with a triple and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI. Inland Empire pitcher Ed Brown earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jorge Castillo suffered the loss. Lake Elsinore has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Dave Oliver was the walk-off hero for Inland Empire. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the 66ers right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said 66ers manager Kent Matthes. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
