Storm Send High Desert Home with 3-0 Loss
|
Lake Elsinore Storm starter Greg Lewry hurled his team past the High Desert Mavericks, 3-0. Rusty King sewed up the save, his 8th. By defeating High Desert, the 4th-place Storm improved to 27-30.
The Storm got a big at-bat from shortstop David Dukeshire. For the game, Dukeshire was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Lake Elsinore a 1-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Lake Elsinore manager Chris Greene.
