Joe Groves, who is tied for 3rd in the CAL in wins with 5, was terrific for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Lancaster JetHawks. His performance earned Groves rave reviews. After today's action, Rancho Cucamonga sits at 23-28, while Lancaster falls to 36-15.

Rancho Cucamonga starter Joe Groves was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.

"Joe gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Rancho Cucamonga manager Matt Holliday.
