JetHawks Walk It Off for 27th Win of Season
The Lancaster JetHawks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jeff Shelton. The left-hander kept the Visalia offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Lancaster victory at The Hanger. The winner in relief was Albert Valdéz. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. Lancaster has now won 5 in a row.

Early in the game, left fielder Jerry Hood had a 2-run home run for Lancaster. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the JetHawks on top, 2-0.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Lancaster manager Travis Witherspoon.
