Good production from center fielder Peter Lock helped the High Desert Mavericks topple the Bakersfield Blaze, 8-7. Lock was 5-6 with 5 singles for the Mavericks. High Desert raised its record to 21-21 with the win.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Lock hit a changeup from Chad Payling for a run-scoring single. The Mavericks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Lock.
