66ers Rally to Eke Out Win
The Lake Elsinore Storm could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Sam Bacon into a win. Instead, the Inland Empire 66ers prevailed, 3-2, in 12 innings. Bacon threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs. Inland Empire pitcher Mike Wolf earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Eric Jackson suffered the loss. With the win, Inland Empire has a record of 20-21. Lake Elsinore falls to 22-19.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Inland Empire third baseman Jesús Ruíz, facing Eric Jackson, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the 66ers the 3-2 win.

"The crowd was juiced," said Ruíz.
