San Jose and Stockton duked it out and the Giants came out victorious.

The 6-3 San Jose win over Stockton was due in large part to Leo Dodson. The Giants third baseman went 2-2 with a double. Earning his 5th save for San Jose was Edgardo Roa.

In the bottom of the second, San Jose shortstop Ernie Palmer had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Palmer stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, San Jose. For the game, he was 1-5.

San Jose manager Jake Arrieta called it "a pretty good win."
