JetHawks Take Nail-Biter Over Quakes
The Lancaster JetHawks did just enough to secure a victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 6-5, in 10 innings at The Hanger. Nobody did more than first baseman Johnny Givens. Lancaster reliever Rubén Romero snagged the win, upping his record to 4-2. Chris Baird shouldered the loss. The triumph puts Lancaster at 21-16 for the season.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Givens hit a knuckle curve from Chris Baird for a solo home run. The JetHawks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Givens said.
