The Modesto Nuts overcame a pretty good performance by Visalia designated hitter Héctor Ramírez, beating the Rawhide, 5-4, in 11 innings. Ramírez went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The Nuts, now 21-14, have won 6 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Juan Flores in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Hensley to win the game for Modesto. The home crowd went nuts.
