Rawhide Continue Skid, Thanks to Pérez, Storm
|
The Lake Elsinore Storm topped the Visalia Rawhide, 9-5, with second baseman Juan Pérez playing a big role. Pérez went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Storm in the win. The win went to Ben Wilson in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jarred Thirkell took the loss. Visalia's current losing streak is now 5 games.
In the top of the 4th, Lake Elsinore took the lead on a 2-run single by Randy Clark. At the time, the Storm were trailing 3-2, but Clark's hit with two outs against Visalia pitcher Ed Webb put them in front, 4-3.
"Nice to get this one," said Pérez. "Wins have been hard to come by."
