Bakersfield Absorbs 2-1 Loss to Visalia

Rayan Hamon, who is tied for 3rd in the CAL in complete games with 1, pitched well, but the Bakersfield Blaze still fell short, losing, 2-1, to the Visalia Rawhide at Recreation Park. Dave Hensley got the save, the 5th for him this season. Visalia is now 14-15, while Bakersfield is 15-14.
Joe Reynolds had a big run-scoring double for the Rawhide in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Visalia leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a curveball from Rayan Hamon, who leads the CAL in quality starts with 4, and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rawhide ahead, 2-0.
Reynolds called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
