Blaze Get 6-2 Win Versus Inland Empire
The Bakersfield Blaze knocked off the Inland Empire 66ers, 6-2, in California League action at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. Bakersfield pitcher and Linton Hall, Virginia, native Mike Briddon had an outstanding performance. Briddon, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Inland Empire drops to 12-13.

Bakersfield third baseman Chris Price contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Blaze ahead, 4-1.
