The Lancaster JetHawks picked up a win at The Hanger, knocking off the High Desert Mavericks, 4-1. On the mound for Lancaster was right-hander Wes Carter. He played a key role in the triumph. For High Desert, now 15-8, wins have been plentiful, losses few.

The JetHawks got a big at-bat from second baseman Ron McKendry. For the game, McKendry was 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Lancaster a 3-1 lead.

"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Carter.
