The Inland Empire 66ers topped the Lancaster JetHawks, 6-5, in California League action at San Manuel Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Inland Empire pitcher and Round Lake, Illinois, native Mike Owens. The win went to Mike Wolf in relief, making him now 2-0. Otton van Rey took the loss for Lancaster. Inland Empire goes to 9-10.

Cisco Cruz delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the 66ers. For the game, Cruz drove in one run.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Owens said in his postgame press conference.
