On Road, Inland Empire Beats Lake Elsinore, 6-3
|
The Inland Empire 66ers withstood an impressive performance by Lake Elsinore third baseman Zander Revels to defeat the Storm, 6-3, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Revels went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Leon Thompson, his 5th. The win has Inland Empire at 9-9.
In the bottom of the seventh, Israel López stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Storm were trailing 6-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when António Ramírez made a terrific pitch and López grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Lake Elsinore comeback.
