The performance of Ronnie Young proved critical in helping Inland Empire beat Modesto, 24-2. The 66ers shortstop was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 5 runs and drove in 7. The Nuts fall to 7-9 and continue their uneven start to the 2025 season.

With Inland Empire leading 8-2 in the top of the fourth, Young came up to bat against Modesto pitcher Jim Wood. Young hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the 66ers on top, 12-2.
