66ers Topple Nuts, 8-5, as Taylor Shines
Inland Empire and Modesto duked it out and the 66ers came out victorious.

Good production from left fielder Jim Taylor helped the Inland Empire 66ers topple the Modesto Nuts, 8-5. Taylor was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the 66ers. Inland Empire pitcher Mike Wolf got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Beniamino Settignano got the loss.

With Inland Empire leading 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Taylor hit a sinker from Beniamino Settignano for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the 66ers ahead, 5-1.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Taylor.

The Nuts drop to 7-8 and continue their mediocre start to the 2025 season.
