Al Ford was dynamite at Recreation Park, blowing away the High Desert Mavericks in a shutout victory. The Visalia Rawhide starter had everything working as he held the Mavericks to 7 hits in the 4-0 win.

"He was pure nasty out there today," said High Desert skipper Vance Wilson. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."

Ford finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
