Baker Hits 2 home runs in JetHawks Win
|
The 9-6 Lancaster win over Rancho Cucamonga was due in large part to Al Baker. The JetHawks third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Curt Lee. He tossed 63 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Early on, the JetHawks, at 11-4, have excelled.
In the first inning, Baker had a grand slam home run for Lancaster. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the JetHawks on top, 5-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager George Lombard said.
