Quakes Trip 66ers, 7-5, in Extra Innings
Fans who congregated at San Manuel Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes faced a tough opponent in Inland Empire pitcher José Espinosa, but still scratched out a win at San Manuel Stadium by a final score of 7-5 in 13 innings. Espinosa went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Rancho Cucamonga reliever Mike McLean picked up the win. Ernie Jennings, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2025 draft, took the loss for Inland Empire.

Marv Martínez came through with a big-time hit for Rancho Cucamonga. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Martínez called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."

Rancho Cucamonga, now 4-9, is off to a slow start.
