66ers Roll to 13-1 Win Over Giants
The Inland Empire 66ers scored a convincing win at San Manuel Stadium, defeating the San Jose Giants, 13-1. One of the hitting stars was 21-year old left fielder Steve Prince who went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Walt Powers claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.1 innings. His record stands at 1-1. The Giants drop to 6-6 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.

With Inland Empire leading 10-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Prince came up to bat against San Jose pitcher Ethan Walton. Prince hit a changeup to left for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the 66ers on top, 13-1.

"Things went our way," said Prince.
