The Lake Elsinore Storm picked up a win at San Manuel Stadium, knocking off the Inland Empire 66ers, 3-2. On the mound for Lake Elsinore was left-hander David Dukeshire. He played a key role in the triumph. In 7.1 innings, Dukeshire surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 7. He allowed no runs. Jorge Castillo closed it out for Lake Elsinore, earning his 4th save.

Leo Pollard had a direct impact on the outcome. Pollard contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Lake Elsinore up, 3-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Kent Matthes.
